More about me

As a mum of three boys I know how important it is to have support in early parenthood. In 2007, just after having my second son, I began my journey working with parents by training as an Antenatal Teacher with the National Childbirth Trust (NCT). Since then I worked for two years within the NHS as a student midwife. It was during this time that I realised my absolute passion was supporting mums with feeding their babies and so I decided to train as a breastfeeding counsellor with the NCT, later qualifying as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I have had thousands of hours experience educating and supporting families on their feeding journeys and I always find it so rewarding watching their confidence grow as breastfeeding ‘clicks’ into place for both mum and baby. I feel so privileged to be able to offer my support at what can often be a confusing and worrying time for new parents.

'Colette has been a fantastic support during my breastfeeding journey.  We got off to a bit of a challenging start with my baby quite sleepy, having a poor latch and only really liking to feed from one side. We also encountered a setback when my baby pretty much forgot how to feed.  Colette was there throughout, tailoring the plan as the situation changed.  Within only one week we made huge improvements and now I am able to feed my baby much more confidently and successfully.  I would highly recommend Colette to anyone finding they need that little bit more support with breastfeeding.'
